01 / RulesApplies to every giveaway
Giveaway rules.
The short version: check out the post, leave an honest note, and you're in. Questions go to r/GiveawaysFromSpace.
- No purchase necessary
- Entering is free. Buying anything doesn't improve your chances, and nothing is for sale here.
- How to enter
- Sign in with your email, open the giveaway's link, and leave a note about the project on the giveaway's page before it closes. One entry per person per giveaway. If the link goes to Reddit, you don't have to vote, comment or do anything there: what you do is up to you, and we never ask for or check votes.
- Who can enter
- Anyone old enough to use Steam where they live (13+ in most places), where giveaways like this are allowed. One account per person. Void where prohibited.
- Dates
- Each giveaway shows when it closes. Notes left after that time aren't entered.
- How winners are picked
- After a giveaway closes, winners are drawn at random (Node.js crypto.randomInt) from every entry that wasn't hidden for breaking these rules, one winner per key. Your odds depend on how many people enter. Draws are listed on the Winners page with the number of entries and a hash of the entrant list.
- Prizes and delivery
- Prizes are Steam keys for the game named on the giveaway. Winners are announced on the site by the name they chose and emailed at the address they signed in with. Keys are sent by email within 7 days. Some keys are region-locked; we'll tell you if one is. Prizes can't be exchanged for cash.
- Unclaimed prizes
- If a winner can't be reached or doesn't reply within 7 days of our email, their key goes to a new winner drawn the same way.
- Disqualification
- Spam, abusive notes, extra accounts or any attempt to game the draw get the note hidden and the account banned from future giveaways.
- Sponsor
- GetGrabs, run by the moderator of r/GiveawaysFromSpace. This giveaway isn't sponsored, endorsed or run by Reddit or Valve.
02 / Privacy
Your data.
- What we store
- Your email (to sign you in and tell you if you win), the name you pick for the board, your notes, and which giveaways you opened. Nothing from Reddit or any other site.
- What it's for
- Running the giveaways, showing notes on the board, and emailing you new giveaways or that you won.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We never share or sell addresses.
- Deleting it
- Sign in and use "Delete my account" on My entries. It removes your account, notes and email subscription. Past winners stay listed on the Winners page.
